2021年8月23日〜9月12日まで石川県金沢市14箇所にて開催された展覧会「ストレンジャーによろしく」にて展示された作品。
ビルの地下に氷を配置し、氷の固有振動や溶ける音をマイクで集音している。空間には、ビルに残された様々な物たちの間を縫うようにケーブルが張り巡らされている。湿度、温度、音、ケーブルの配線によって、主体には可視化されない様々なものたちのやりとりを空間自体に知覚化させる。

熱を奪った氷は温度を上昇させ、奪われた空間や生き物の温度は気化熱によって下降する。熱の交換。
至極当たり前なこの現象に身体を与えるにはどうすればいいだろう。身体が、皮膚が熱を感じるのではなく、熱に皮膚を与えようとすること。互いに触れることなく、互いに異なるままその皮膚を撫でる音に耳を澄ませる。熱気と冷気、相反する間を絶えず交換し、揺れ動く、その震える音に。
わたしたちは水のようにはなれないんじゃないか。物質でありながら実態を掴みきれない。水はどこまでも主語を置き去りにする。一方でわたしたちはどうしても形を保とうとする。そんな中でもわたしたちは絶えず変化の中に晒されているわけであって、そのせめぎ合いのギリギリのところで生きたいと思う。そのために、わたしたちという主語から離れたところで身体の変化を捉えられないか。それは、変化自体に知覚を与えることだ。知覚を主体から切断し、現象に形を与える。形ある主体が現象を知覚するのではない。変化し続けるものの形に触れること。そういう出来事を通して、またわたしという有限な存在を考えるための方法論を探っている。

How can we give the body to this phenomenon that is so blissfully obvious? The body should try to give skin to heat, rather than skin to heat. Listen to the sounds that caress its skin without touching each other, remaining different from each other. To the sound of its trembling, shaking, constantly exchanging and oscillating between hot and cold, opposites.
We cannot be like water, can we? We cannot grasp the reality of water, even though it is a substance. Water leaves its subject behind wherever it goes. On the other hand, we inevitably try to preserve its form. Even in such a situation, we are constantly exposed to change, and we want to live at the very edge of the struggle between the two. In order to do so, I wonder if it is possible to capture the changes in our bodies from a perspective that is distant from the subject matter of "we. That is, to give perception to change itself. By separating the perception from the subject, we give form to the phenomenon. It is not that the subject with form perceives the phenomenon. It is to be in touch with the form of that which continues to change. Through such events, I am searching for a methodology to think about my finite existence.
